PAGES Early-Career Network (ECN)

Tomorrow’s science will be determined by today’s early-career researchers (ECRs). Each new generation of scientists comes with fresh and novel ideas that contribute to existing knowledge and challenge established paradigms.

ECN

In an increasingly competitive job market, the years during and shortly after the PhD have become critically important to identify and develop viable career paths to becoming independent, successful researchers. Unfortunately, many ECRs are not always adequately prepared for the competitive nature of today’s academic market.

PAGES Early-Career Network (ECN), which launched in February 2018, is designed to address this issue and to facilitate the exchange of ideas and skill sets in order to give ECRs the tools to excel as researchers. Additionally, this network aids in the dissemination of information, establishes vital scientific networks, and fosters the development of research ideas that can lead to future research collaborations and improved job prospects.
