Overview
The workshop is the first international workshop in Dendrochronology on the continent, with the main goal of advancing Dendrochronology in Africa through creating awareness, building capacity, collaboration, and Knowledge Exchange.
It targets a crucial gap in paleoclimate and paleoecology research and information on indigenous tree species in Africa.
By creating awareness and fostering capacity-building and knowledge exchange, this gathering aims to catalyze advancements in dendrochronological research and curricula, fostering sustainable development and resilience in Africa.
