The organizers welcome everyone interested to the 5th Summer School on Speleothem Science S4 Online: the first S4 event hosted online.
The event will take place on the following dates:
24 January 2022: 5 pm - 9.00 pm CET
31 January 2022: 11 pm - 3.00 am CET
7 February 2022: 5 pm - 9.00 pm CET
Logistics
S4 Online is open to anyone new to speleothem science or interested in learning more about the field. It will cover topics like speleothem growth, stable isotope proxies, cave monitoring, as well as age-depth modeling.
Description
Since the global pandemic forced organizers to postpone the traditional S4 Summer school to 2023, they wanted to provide an event that would reach the generation of students that would otherwise miss a traditional in person S4 summer school. The organizers will host S4 Online for free on Zoom at a variety of times. This will hopefully allow for global participation from the speleothem community.
S4 online will feature a series of lectures and workshops for anyone interested in speleothem science. For the first edition of S4 Online, leading experts from the speleothem community have been invited, who will present introductory lectures on a variety of topics and conduct interactive workshops on the latest tools in the field.

Registration
There is no fee to participate, but the organizers ask you to please register.
Based on the number of registrations received, there may be a limit to the number of participants for some workshops. You are encouraged to register early if you would like to participate. > Register
