The workshop "Sea Level Conundrum: Insights From Paleo Studies: Empirical Constraints on Future Sea Level Rise" will be held in Bern, Switzerland, from 25-29 August 2008.
It is organized by PAGES PALSEA working group, the International Marine Past Global Change Study (IMAGES), and the University of Bern.
A key question for future climate change prediction is the sensitivity of ongoing sea level rise to increases in temperature. We will aim to define how we may place empirical constraints on sea level rise over the next century using paleodata.
